The board has been really slow lately...Let's try to liven it up a bit! So what is everyone doing with their free time on Saturday nights? What do you think about next years season locally and the WoO? I am really looking forward to seeing the schedules when they come out soon! I am hoping we get more rain this year, but that it stops in time for late Feb, early March. I didn't get to go to as many races this year so next year I hopefully can go to more. I am also curious of what drivers will still be racing with GSC and those who will be racing elsewhere. With the bad economy I wonder how the WoO will be affected and if some drivers won't be racing next season. When are we going to get some new pictures of the champions this year? I miss going to sprint car races already and it's only November

Don't remind me, I miss going to races too
Was just about to ask about our Hoserforums NorCal champions banner too, come to think of it...

Well from what I read this morning, the WoO is for sure short a title sponsor. That could be very bad for the series, and finding a replacement in the current economy may be a little difficult.

Ok I'll bite:
1.) John & Robbie have retired and moved to Florida. Someone named Handy now controls all of Placerville and Silver Dollar.
2.) Hanford speedway is under new management and Paul Trevino is the track photographer.
3.) Destiny Hays will be racing full time on the Craftsman truck series circuit and part time on the WOO regional series.
4.) Grove has sold me all of his video equipment and I am going to follow in the footsteps of Dean Mills and become a videographer. Grove has bought my camera equipment for a new and exciting challenge.
5.) Gary Thomas won the lottery last weekend and has become the primary sponsor and new promoter of the Golden State Challenge series. Brent Kaeding is the director of competition.
6.) Mr. Prentice has opened up Ocean Speedway to as many photographers as can fit inside the 8x8 chalk line at each end of the track. Al Drake is his new director of media relations.
7.) YZ still trying to take Hoserville national, has bought a WOO leftover truck/trailer rig and is paying for it with a traveling Bean Bag series.
8.) Jonathan Allard is going to be sponsored by Tim Gibbons in Austalia.
9.) The All-Stars are going to Sanction the Kings Royal, Knoxville Nationals and Gold Cup.
10.) And this is the best one. Sammy Swindell has moved to Chico to run full time weekly. In an effort to improve customer relations he will take CalenderGuy to Sierra Nevada after the races each Friday night.
Those are my predictions. All predicitons are amatuer in nature and as such I can not be responsible if any of them come true.

Reading this totally made my day and I am still laughing!
I will try to add to it, lets see
-Marcell wins lots of money and rebuilds both San Jose and Baylands Speedways to be some of the best sprint car tracks in the country!
-The town of Calistoga decides to start running sprint cars weekly and makes the turns wider. Everyone is happy and drinking wine in the stands saying, "those racecars are much better than NASCAR."
-TK gets a ride with the WoO full time and wins the championship next year! Everyone says, "damn those CA drivers are way better than the Posse."
-John's Racing Photos becomes the main photographer for the WoO and many other Sprint Car magazines!
-Carwash gets a really flexible job and buys a nice motorhome so he doesn't have to drive home after a night at the races!
-Amanda becomes the offical trophy girl and pacetruck chick of the GSC series! Can you guys see Amanda in a bikini and high heels?
-PacetruckChuck gets a motorhome so he can tow the pacetruck behind so he doesn't have to drive home late at night driving really fast, ha ha!
-Studeedo gets a great job and buys a reliable car so he can go to all the races!
-Calendar Guy and Davy start selling calendars full time and become the top sellers of racing calendars in the country!
Does anyone else have some funny stuff to add? Thanks for starting this John! You aren't moving to Iowa yet are you

You forgot to mention that i am taking over the workin-woodie and will be at all GSC shows, and Antioch speedway has been narrowed with the track surface being replaced with saw dust. Dont forget to stop by after the races and buy a woody t-shirt and sprint car stickers!

I have two champion photos ready. Geving and Allard. Send me your favorite and I'll have it up in December. I asked already, was being patient.
Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool,
but then I'm not 16 so therefore my opinion is of no
consequence...

well we have conflicking stories as i hear that john's racing photos was not only selected to be the official track photographer for ocean speedway (at a price that would make john buy back his stuff from Grove faster than tim kaedeing chasing a car backwards down the front straight at chico) but he has been retained to shoot baby pics of the prentices' young son!
