The dirt modifieds are coming to Calistoga in conjunction with the Golden State Series sprint cars for the memorial day weekend. I say right on! What better for the track that a lot of people feel will be disked under for yuppie tourist picnic benches. Something new something fresh. No one has ever seen this type of race car on the big half mile before. I think the last form of motor sports running the track other than another form of open wheel racer where motorcycles in the early 70's. So let's give the Napa County board of directors some credit along with Patty the new manager for trying something new in order to keep our favourite sport alive. Now is the time for you nay sayers to step up and and say something positive. No, there not open wheelers, but if the fairgrounds can show a profit with 410 sprinters in conjunction with a support series I say it's all good. Don't believe me? Call N.C.F.

I believe you and it sounds like it would be a fun race, I just hope the track will hold up for a long night of racing! Good track prep is the key to a great night of racing. The USAC race was a good example of a great weekend with good track prep!
Winged sprintcars = the fastest and most exciting
racecars on dirt!

Charlie and Augie try very hard as far as track prep is concerned. They no longer have the higher up directing them in there thoughts. These two guys live it! They take it at heart when the track isn't to there liking. One an ex racer, one a devout fan, both for many years.

Amen. Heard this a while back but was sworn to secrecy. Very nice to see all this come to reality.

Nothing is foolproof to a sufficiently talented fool,
but then I'm not 16 so therefore my opinion is of no
consequence...

I believe Brent Kaeding hot-lapped a a late model at Stoga previously. I am not positive, but i think it was Larry Damitz or Phil "bang bang" Pedlar that also did... coool stuff
